Yes, we are dressing up this year for the holidays, even though we all know the holidays will be different, however, I refuse to let the covid pandemic steal my joy of loving and even enjoying one of my favourite time and holiday of the year…Christmas!!
I intend to bring as much normalcy as I can especially for the sake of my family as this year brought so much unexpected change to the world and so I believe we deserve to finish with joy regardless of the current situation. Dressing up elevates the mind as much sit does the spirit so why not, we all need and even deserve the fun and cheer that comes with it.
As you might have noticed, I hardly wear black, but when I do I aspire for it to really speak for itself and not be overlooked as most black outfits might get. I’ll be sharing some party appropriate looks in the following weeks into the holidays so stay tuned as I usually do every year.
I’ll be starting with this gorgeous black dress which took my breath away because of the details on it, the fabric is actually tulle without the cheap feel some tulle materials can give. Now details is something I look for before buying, especially when it’s black and in this case, the fringe which was done with tulle known for its delicacy as a fabric, puffy sleeves, the breezy feel that conceals any food baby are some of the details that brings the beauty of this dress together.
I decided to pair the dress with blue which is uncommon and Im so glad I did as the Christmas decor I went for this year is the classic colours and all the colours complimented each other which worked great!
