Good morning and happy Monday style lovers! Hope you had a blessed and fantastic weekend, well for me I didn’t get much sleep. My baby girl was down with cold this weekend, which was associated with teething and she couldn’t get much sleep overnight, this means mama too didn’t get any sleep. As a mother, I didn’t like seeing her in such discomfort, even though she is at that necessary development phase which will pass however it is not a good feeling, and every parent will go through this challenging phase!
Talking about challenging I do this a lot with styling my pieces. I try to think outside the box by being and looking for different ways to be creative by bringing plain or even old pieces to life. Stay tuned I have a post in works about reviving old pieces into the current trend. For today’s post, I decided to dress up this plain midi dress which guys I rocked shamelessly while I was pregnant lol as in my baby shower post, also in this post. I actually purchased this dress in two different colors from Zara late last summer into fall and I must say it is still till date one of my go-to, best budget-friendly, and versatile pieces and I really love it for that as this dress defines my style quite well.
Because this dress again is plain I decided to switch up styling it by adding accessories like an extra large belt, layered necklace and cotton blend duster vest that will pull the entire outfit together and make the dress pop, and a pair of shoes with a bit of pompom drama to complete the look!
